Akasha and Rube went to the annual "Grade Eh" SBC board test at Sun Peaks last season and managed to slip in a few of our first prototype boards to see how they would match up. Here is what Scott Birke SBC's managing editor had to say about them.
"Though HIghtide MFG. wasn’t involved in our #GradeEH board tests, since Akasha was an active tester and we felt it might jeopardize the integrity of our tests, and we weren’t convinced we were riding actual production models that everyone could eventually buy, we had testers fill out score cards for the two models anyway. And had these two boards—a 156 and 158.5 been in the tests they’re average scores of 8.8/10 and 9.3/10 respectively easily would’ve had them near the top of the Top 10. Truly, the 156 I rode was one of the best boards I’ve ever strapped into. Period. And I can’t wait to get on another Hightide this year. You can feel the care and level of craftsmanship as soon as you make your first turn."
